Indio, CA (Vocus) November 9, 2010

Swisstrax Corp., an Indio, California-based manufacturer and distributor of interlocking garage flooring, announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Snap-on Incorporated to develop and launch a new line of Snap-on branded garage flooring. This program will officially debut at this year’s SEMA show, held November 2-5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center at Swisstrax Booth #21328 in Central Hall, Racing and Performance section.

The Snap-on line will be available for purchase soon through Swisstrax directly at http://www.swisstrax.com as well as home improvement, hardware, specialty automotive, and other specialty retailers.

“Swisstrax is thrilled to bring licensed Snap-on garage flooring to the retail marketplace. We are confident that customers will recognize the performance and quality of the Snap-on brand,” stated Randy Nelson, President of Swisstrax Corp. “We look forward to our partnership with Snap-on and to expanding the Snap-on brand to the premium flooring market.”

The tiles are anti-slip, easy to clean and resistant to most chemicals and automotive liquids. The locking design makes a quick and easy DIY installation. The tiles come in various popular colors, allowing creativity with personalized designs. Included in the program’s initial launch are pre-designed kits for various applications, from work mats to pads large enough to accommodate parking two vehicles on them. The modular, snap-together tiles are backed by laboratory testing for weight and pressure capacities, anti-slip and abrasion resistance.

Designing a Garage Floor

There are options available to make the perfect garage floor to meet anyone’s taste.  Generally the two best options are rolled garage flooring and garage floor tiles.  Deciding which type of floor is a matter of preference and cost.

The lowest price flooring is rolled.  This type of garage flooring is also the easiest type of floor to install.  Simply roll the floor out and trim around any obstructions.  The seems can be taped together or left floating.

The other type of flooring is garage floor tiles.  This type of floor is more expensive and takes a little more time to install.  In many opinions, it provides the homeowner with the best looking floor.  There are two type of garage floor tiles, peel and stick and interlocking garage floor tiles.  Peel and stick tiles use a strong adhesive to remain in place.  Interlocking tiles are a floating system in which each tile locks into the other creating a grid that stays nicely in place.
